Other post-secondary education

The studies for which one may receive student aid are decided by either the government itself or the appropriate government bureau.

New courses are added and removed continuously and the list below is updated regularly. You will always find the current list of courses that one may receive student aid for in the appendix of the Study Support Ordinance. Unfortunately the Study Support Ordinance is only available in Swedish.

Post-secondary studies that qualify you for financial aid for studies

  • Bromma Flygskola AB (Scandinavian Aviation Academy), commercial pilot's training and D theory
  • Entry Point North AB, education to air-traffic controller
  • Ersta Sköndal Högskola AB (Ersta Sköndal University College):
    • church economics courses
    • basic theological studies, 60 higher education credits
    • supplementary practical psychosocial training
  • Evangeliska Frikyrkan (InterAct), training for ministers and missionaries
  • Flygteoriskolan i Barkaby AB (flight theory training), D theory
  • Folk high schools
    • recreation leader training
    • training to become an interpreter between the hearing and those with congenital deafness, acquired deafness, the deaf-blind, and the hearing impaired
    • vocational courses lasting up to 80 weeks that are a continuation of upper secondary education and that require a final grade from a three-year upper secondary school or equivalent knowledge
  • Employee healthcare program under the supervision of "Framtidens FHV utbildning"
  • Johannelunds teologiska högskola (Johannelunds Theological University College), training for ministers and missionaries
  • Supplementary courses for which the Regulation on National Supplementary Courses Aid (Swedish Code of Statutes 2000:521) qualifies you for financial aid for studies in accordance with Part A
  • Korteboskolan (Kortebo Missionary College):
    • training for ministers and missionaries
    • training in Christian therapeutic spiritual guidance
  • Board of Extramural Studies at Uppsala University, Swedish courses for foreign healthcare and medical staff
  • Marionetteatern (Marionette Theatre), puppeteer training
  • Metodistkyrkans nordiska teologiska seminarium (Methodist Church Nordic Theological Seminary), training for ministers and missionaries
  • Missionsskolan Götabro (Götabro Missionary College), training for ministers and missionaries
  • Myndigheten för samhällsskydd och beredskap (Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency):
    • continuing course in rescue services for fire engineers
    • two-year training in protection against accidents leading to a degree in safety and rescue services
    • training leading to a degree as a chimney sweep
    • advanced training leading to a degree as a chimney sweep technician
