Demand recruitment grant

If you for example have dropped out of school or your income has been higher, you might receive a demand. It means that you have to repay some of the financial aid for studies that you have received.

You might have received a demand of non-entitled financial aid for studies if you have:

  • dropped out of school
  • studied less than you indicated on your application to CSN
  • submitted an inaccurate income statement.

Do you have to repay everything all at one time?

Normally speaking, you have to repay your demand of non-entitled financial aid for studies by the deadline that appears in the decision. That's true even if you also have to make other repayments to CSN during the year.

If your finances make it difficult for you to repay the entire demand all at one time, you can apply to receive a payment schedule. You should describe your financial situation in detail to enable CSN to asses if you can receive a payment schedule.

How do you apply for a payment schedule?

You can order an application for a payment schedule:

  • at Mina sidor (only in Swedish)
  • by e-mail
  • over the phone.

If you order the form at Mina sidor, log in with your personal identity number and personal code or electronic identification.

Contact us

If you want to discuss repayment of your demand of non-entitled financial aid for studies, e-mail or phone to CSN. CSN's e-mail addresses and phone numbers appear under Contact us.

Interest and charges

If you repay a demand of non-entitled financial aid for studies, you also have to pay interest until the demand has been paid in full. During 2010, the interest rate is 5.90 percent on the principal that you have to repay. You can deduct the interest on your tax return. CSN notifies the Swedish Tax Agency about how much interest you paid during the year.

You also have to pay an annual 100 kronor service charge on each demand of non-entitled financial aid for studies.
