The amount of money that you can borrow for home equipment depends on different things.
It depends on:
This table shows the maximum amount of money that you can borrow. If you don't want to borrow the maximum amount, you can apply for less.
| Number of people in your household | Loan - unfurnished flat (kronor) | Loan - furnished flat or somebody else's home (kronor) |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 15,000 | 5,000 |
| 2 | 20,000 | 5,000 |
| 3 | 25,000 | 5,000 |
| 4 | 30,000 | 5,000 |
| 5 | 35,000 | 5,000 |
Example - Anne has three children
Anne is a refugee who came to Sweden with her three children. They have a flat without any furniture. Anne wants to borrow as much money as possible to buy home equipment. Because there are four people in her household, she can borrow 30,000 kronor.
Example - Hanan has three children
Hanan is also a refugee who came to Sweden with her three children. They will live with her sister, who already has a flat. Hanan can borrow 5,000 kronor.
If you already have a home equipment loan, you can apply for a supplementary loan. You can apply if you previously borrowed less than the maximum or if your family becomes larger. But you can never borrow more than 35,000 kronor altogether.
